Does this sound like you?

  • You're craving a new, creative outlet.

  • You want to learn a new technique in a few, short hours.

  • You want to create a spectacular piece for your home or office.

  • You want to build a business as the go to person for beautiful, creative glass work.

If so, then the Mixed Media on Glass workshop is for you.

In this workshop, students are guided step by step, through the process of layering different mediums, in reverse order, on the back side of glass to create a piece of art that is unique to them.

In Project #1, you’ll create a traditional style, multi layered design on the back of the glass.

In Project #2,  you’ll create a modern style with a multi layered design on the back but you’ll be adding another dimension with crushed glass on the front of the glass piece.

Create an amazing piece of art on glass.

Why Should I Take This Workshop?

  • The satisfaction of knowing you created a unique art piece yourself is beyond measure.

  • The materials are easily obtained and fairly inexpensive.

  • The cost of doing this project yourself is insanely less than what it would cost to have a professional create this look for you.

  • If you are creating pieces for a business, you can create many in one day. I sell 11” x14” glass pieces with this exact technique in a local gallery for $125-$150 each!

  • This technique is a niche market and few artists have embraced it which makes it a wonderful opportunity for someone who would really like to perfect this skill.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and learn a new skill.

This has been one of my most popular workshops over the years and every student that has ever taken it, loves it.

FAQ

  • What if I’m not an artist?

No problem! Anyone can learn this skill.

  • Can I use any kind of glass?

For safety reasons, you should only use tempered glass if you are creating a window, table top or serving piece. For wall art, you can use 1/4” standard glass with polished edges to protect your hands while working. Do not use picture frame glass as it is too thin and can easily break.

  • How long will it take to create a finished piece?

With the drying time of the products used, it will take a full day to complete a finished piece. However, multiple pieces can be created at the same time.

  • What is the number one thing you would recommend for this workshop?

Let the leaf sizing tack up for as long as possible. It makes all the difference.

  • What if I need help?

Once you register for a workshop, you will be invited to a private Facebook page for students, where we offer trouble shooting solutions and support. You can also email us at [email protected].
